| Now, I have had 3 clutches in various cars over the past 10 years to go bad, so I know what it feels like and it takes some additional time from first noticing the symtoms and actually slipping so bad as to need to quit driving it. I have driven the car this year for about 3 months....no problems whatsoever. The clutch only has about 35,000 miles on it. Yes, I tend to power shift and thus somewhat hard on it...but no 5K drag drops have ever been done. The car has the 4:08 rearend in it and just poweron starts, will light the tires up. Yesterday, I get in it and drive 2 miles home and it gives me all the classic symtoms of a worn out clutch. Engagement right at the top and slipping at poweron after being in the gear already. Pedel pressure was stronger also. Later that evening I was going to move it to my storage area and let it wait until funds are available for the cost. When I drove it then things were fine, and also this morning all symtoms are gone and the fluid level is good. I have never had this situation before and am lost at what it might be. Anybody have any ideas?
